During the COVID19 pandemic, Monica realized that she loved to play guitar. She wondered if her journey with music would've been different if she had her hands on an instrument at an earlier age than 31. This led her to think about all the people who had instruments just laying around and how many kids could benefit from having them. From there the project grew to collecting donating instruments, cleaning them up and getting them repaired, and then pairing them to a local child in need. While the project didn't last very long, 8 children received instruments including guitar, bass, and violins.
